A true pair of 19th-century French armorial lions in yellow terracotta with opposing stances and exceptional detail in their muzzles, mane, and paws. Each lion has a hole atop each ear which would have held a flag or standard of the nobles in residence. Each lion is seated and has one paw placed on an armorial cartouche. In good antique condition with some minor loss to the bases and patina from outdoor use. Perfect as an entryway to a garden. Priced and sold as a pair. An RT Facts find.
