Item No. #WM-SDEOC

Retail Price: $1,175.00

The smallest in our Sculpteur Mirror Collection, the Sculpteur Diminutive Mirror. The original frame was hand-carved in wood, from which we took a mold. The mirrors are then cast plaster and finished in hand applied gesso.

Years back, Greg and Brendan made a prototype coffee table inspired by Isamu Noguchi and Henry Moore: a thick slab of live-edge walnut atop two pieces of shaped wood, finished in a heavy layer of gesso. Our Sculpteur collection was born. In the last decade, we have introduced dining and console tables, mirrors, and refined the original coffee table.

Outfitted with two hanging wires to allow for installation in either the vertical or horizontal position. For indoor use only. An RT Facts Design made by hand in our Kent, Connecticut workshop.

Gesso Finish

Our gesso finish is a multi-step process in which layers of gesso are applied to build a texture, followed by the application of a lighter finishing coat for an ever so slight satin finish.

Hand Cast

Many of our items are cast from original pieces we've found and made molds of, like our Shell Sconce - or - are castings from molds taken from carvings we've created, like our Diminutive Mirrors. We create molds of the original and hand cast replicas year over year to keep the essence of the original piece alive.
