An rare Scottish "end of day" fantasy style faux bois chair. In the 19th century, tile factory workers were able to use leftover materials at day's end to pursue their own creative work. This one-of-a-kind chair features a dark brown glaze, two sculpted faces below angled armrests, and wonderful detail throughout. Comprised of two pieces: the seat sits atop the trunk-form base.
