Renaissance Style Walnut Server

An exquisite and heavily carved Renaissance-style walnut credenza or server. Italy circa mid-19th century with some 17th-century elements. A rectangular molded top projects above an egg-and-dart-carved molding, below which are two drawers with brass pulls. A pair of paneled doors with carved bullseye rosettes stand between pilasters decorated with armorial shields that are flanked by Doric column corner supports. Substantial paw feet. Interior with fixed shelving. Rich, warm patina. The top is beginning to warp near the back left corner. An RT Facts Find.
