A striking pair of life-size French cast iron hunting hounds cast after celebrated models by the French animalier sculptor Henri-Alfred-Marie Jacquemart (1824-1896). Each dog is seated attentively on a naturalistic base, one accompanied by a game bird and the other with a hunting collar. In good antique condition; there is evidence of old repairs and one crack on the base of one dog that does not affect structural integrity. Rich, naturally weathered surfaces throughout. Priced and sold as a pair.
