A 19th century pastel on linen portrait, probably depicting Archduchess Marie Louise of Austria (1791–1847), daughter of Emperor Francis II and the second wife of Napoleon Bonaparte. As Napoleon’s consort, she became Empress of the French and Queen of Italy, and later Duchess of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla.
