A large-scale overmantel from a Newport, RI estate with Doric-style architectural elements including an archway flanked by two flouted columns. This architectural element has grand scale and can be used either in its present condition as a backdrop or wall-hanging, or built in to architectural plans. The wood has a warm patina and a very smooth surface. The hand-carved elements are restrained and simple, but thoughtfully executed. In good antique condition. An RT facts find.
