A handsome English Regency mahogany library armchair, the curved upholstered back and generous seat covered in black leather with brass nailhead trim. The sweeping arms terminate in finely carved lion heads above shaped supports, while the front legs end in carved lion-paw feet and the rear legs are gently splayed. The chair retains a rich, well-worn surface throughout, with particularly expressive carving to the lion-head terminals.In good antique condition; sturdy and comfortable, with wear consistent with age.
