A rare pair of 19th-century American painted wood globes on turned wood stands: one terrestrial globe and one celestial decorated with masonic symbols. These globes would traditionally have flanked the doorway inside a Masonic temple and are possibly the work of F. Mc. Dermott, though neither is signed. Priced and sold as a pair. An RT Facts find.
Dimensions: 61"H Overall, 14"Dia globe, 47"H Stand
