A finely cast Tibetan bronze rain drum with a beautifully developed verdigris patina and concentric bands of geometric decoration. The circular top is centered by a radiating star motif, around which are four groups of three bronze frogs. The sides are fitted with four loop-form handles, while one side is ornamented with a descending procession of cast elephants.
