A 19th century American full-bodied copper cow weathervane. Probably Cushing & White, Waltham, Massachusetts circa 1875-1890. The molded copper figure is finely articulated with curved horns, applied ears and a pronounced udder, retaining a richly weathered surface with extensive verdigris and exposed copper throughout. Mounted on its original directional rod and presented on a custom steel stand with rectangular base. Evidence of old repairs to the legs and tail; in otherwise very good antique condition. An RT Facts find.
