This magnificent 19th-century hand-carved marble conservatory table is meticulously crafted after the original design by Francesco Antonio Franzoni (1734-1818), a celebrated Roman sculptor and restorer of antique art. The original is displayed in the Vatican Museum.
The trestle supports are carved in the form of winged rams, and the center is adorned with putti, lilies, and laurels. An identical table, attributed to Franzoni, is housed in the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, California. With a beatiful specimen marble top. An RT Facts Find.
