A 19th-century French walnut fauteuil with a richly carved frame featuring scrolling acanthus, shells, and floral motifs throughout. Raised on cabriole legs. The shaped back retains an intact cane panel beneath a gilt-tooled leather insert. The generously proportioned caned seat is also in tact, and upholstered in worn cognac leather. In good antique condition with honest wear commensurate with age. An RT Facts find.
