A 19th-century English lead garden sculpture of a stag after the original found in 1756 in the garden of the Villa dei Papiri in Herculaneum. The stag is supported on its original lead base by two metal rods. Raised on later casters and presents very well. There is evidence of repair to the antlers. In otherwise good antique condition.
