An incredibly rare and monumental 17th Century carved alabaster archway with decorative carvings including thirteen putti faces (the centermost of these is winged), clovers, flowers, and two corinthian style capitals; the archway is comprised of twenty-six total pieces. The archway was allegedly once in the esteemed collection of William Randolph Hearst. An RT Facts Find.
The second slide is a Quatrain Inc. advertisement in the June, 1994 issue of Architectural Digest featuring this archway in an interior. You can truly get a sense of the grand scale.
