A pair of architecturally commanding late 18th century carved stone finials with square tiered and stepped foot, measuring 23 5/8″ square base x 62 1/2″ tall. Great, weathered surface with moss and lichen. The top half of the left finial has been re-attached just above the onion flare, but very well done. There is an old, barely visible repair to the right upper finial approximately 7″ below the flame portion. Removed from a chateau in Les Baux-de-Provence, France. Priced and sold as a pair.
