A pair of replica columns from the Borghese Museum dating to around the turn of the century. Once at home in someone’s garden, the columns themselves are terra cotta and still retain traces of being out in the elements. We have added the wood bases and tops which have been skillfully finished to match the patina of the columns. They are now functional as pedestals for sculpture or plants as well as simply decorative elements. The Renaissance style columns feature alternating swords and ionic columns bearing a lion crest at it’s peak. Inscribed in latin around the top: PAGNO GERRARDI BOROONO FECIT FIERIhOCOPV ANIMA SVAMCCC.
Each column: 44.25″H x 18″Diameter at base, 16.25″Diameter at top
