Late 19th Century Painted Antique Child’s Wooden Jumper Horse

An antique painted wood jumper style child’s horse.  This horse would originally have had a saddle, and horsehair main and tail.  At one time it was mounted, perhaps for stability for the child to ride, or perhaps simply for decor.  Time has left us with it’s classic unadorned form, showing it’s construction and remnants of original paint.  An early and collectible piece of folk art.
