A 19th century bronze Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom.  The central shield is quartered with the first and fourth quadrants containing 3 lions passant gardant representing England, the second quadrant containing a lion rampant representing Scotland, and the third quadrant containing a harp representing Ireland.  The phrase at the bottom “Due et mon droit” is the motto of the monarch and translates to “God and my right” referring to the divine right of the monarch to govern.  The phrase wrapping around the crest is “Honi soit qui mal y pense” or “Shame on him who thinks evil”.
