What do we love best about Kent, CT ?

We love that we are in a rural town full of family farms yet we can hop the train to go to NYC for the day. We have been so supported by the people we have met in our 27 years here. It is an open, inviting community. We say hello to those we pass on the street and pick up hikers coming off the Appalachian Trail as if they are friends we just haven’t met yet. We realize it most when we are somewhere else and everyone looks past each other. Greg goes foraging for mushrooms, edible greens, etc before work many days a week and I root around in the woods for wildflowers, vines, branches, moss to decorate the shop. Thank goodness for the open spaces!  ~Natalie Randall
